October 1, 2009, at the 4th session of the Intergovernmental Committee of UNESCO Conventions Protecting Cultural Heritage Intangible (from September 28 to October 2, 2009), ca tru was recognized as intangible heritage needs urgent protection. This is a title of UNESCO in Vietnam have the major influence, with ranges up to 16 provinces and cities in the northern half of Vietnam. Nominations Ca Tru is the world's cultural heritage with cultural spaces Ca tru spanning 16 northern provinces including Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Ha Noi, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen and Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.
Experts studied so far, the majority agreed that the form of Ca Tru has started today from the Le Dynasty (Century XV) after bottom by Dinh Le piano (or under certain Dinh Du Professor Ward) invented.
